Anyone into woodworking?
Could you tell me what brand of power tools you have, and what they are (lathe, bandsaw, planer, etc.) Also, could you tell me what you like and don't like about them. I am wanting to get into woodworking, and you like some input on what brand of tools to purchace. Thank you for your help

- not really, but my dad teaches it at an award winning school. just go to a hardware store, ask for some tools, and they'll give u their finest. Good luck!
- Delta, craftsman, dewalt, porter cable are all good brands have them all no complants
- I buy according to price but only if the tool has the features I'm looking for. I've found really great buys by being patient and watching out for deals. I only buy name brand tools and never an off brand regardless of the price. I never buy at the normal store price they offer. It just takes time and patience.
- Checkout some woodworking monthly magazines, they usually will share with you what's the hot tools to get with trade-offs. Everything is about MONEY, you get what you pay for. Anything less equates to blood, sweat & tears to get the JOB done!

- I started putting my woodshop together about 3 yrs ago. I'v done matal machine work for 15 yrs and wanted a hobby. I buy either Craftsman professional tool's or Delta. I have table saw , scroll saw, joiner, planer, compound miter, band saw, spindle and belt sander, drill press and morticeing machine. So far most of them are adequete. The exceptions are the table saw and band saw. They could be a little bigger.
