I am starting my own business and am looking for carpentry/woodworking tools and materials, where do I look?

- try a local auction house, they often have both new and old tools, and good prices
- I was in the same situation you are in a few years ago. I managed to find most of the tools I wanted by searching the Pawn Shops. Since I have done fairly well on some ventures I have replaced the second hand tools with new ones as the old ones wore out. The Pawn Shops were a great place for tools. Good luck to you in your venture.
- pawn shops till u get on ur feet then ever job buy a tool r 2 i work 4 myself contact me if u need
- ebay is probrably best, failing that Homebase, Wicks or other DIY stores. Good luck
- local auctions or try ebay
- car boot sales
- Not sure where u live but if u go to this site www.gumtree.co.uk it has local classified ads for every conceivable event. theres even a section where people give things away for free and u can add a request for things u want free.
- If you go into somewhere like WHSmiths, there are a few magazines on woodworking. They have a lot of adverts of places you can buy tools and also adverts from people selling tools that you could buy second hand. Also they have adverts for the materials and sometimes there's a catalogue bundled with the magazines that gives a whole range of both. So that would probably be a good place to start.
- The best thing is to do is borrow the money and buy a pack from Dewalt, they are the best and you get loads of discount buying a pack. You can get 5 tools for about £570,alot but they will last and you will look more professional. They will pay for themselves after a couple of jobs.
