my boyfriend has an aluminum boat and we want a radio in it is there anyway to do that.? the boat does not have any electrical on it. It is just a plan aluminum camo boat with a motor that you sit in the back by and move it to drive. any suggestions. I am trying to suprise him. I am sure he knows how to hook it up but i wanted to buy the radio without him knowing and i needed to know what kind to buy

I just purchased a 12 ft. wards aluminum boat. Im wondering how big of a motor i can safely put on the back? I plan to use the boat out in the ocean of northern california for crabbing, and also for duck hunting. I'd prefer a 4 stroke just because alot of lakes are outlawing 2 strokes, but i also know that will add considerable weight to the power ratio

What length of trolling motor shaft should I get for my boat? I have a 14 foot V-haul aluminum fishing boat. I'm planning to buy a trolling motor for it, but should I get a 36" or 42" shaft? I'm looking at a Minn Kota trolling motor. Possibly a 40 to 55 lb trust model.

What is the best way to repaint an aluminum john boat? I just came into a very nice 14 foot aluminum john boat. Its in great shape but could very much use a paint job. I would like to repaint the boat and the trailer, and make it look new again. I'm naming it the Screamin' Seaman. I'm an artist on top of an angler, and plan on painting screaming tadpoles down the sides of it in various ways. One will have an anchor tatoo, another with a cigar, another with a hook instead of a tail... etc. etc. Can someone help me get started with this? I'm used to painting on canvas, not aluminum. what paint should i use to paint a duck boat? I am planning on painting an old boat to use for duck hunting. I heard I had to use aluminum oxide primer. Can I just slap a coat of spray paint on it or do I need to prime and paint. Any colors, paint styles, would be appreciated....

What are the best screws to use for plywood boat building and can i use planks for a flat bottom with epoxy.? I plan to use plywood for the sides and for a template for the shape I would use masonite or hardboard.Also I will use ribs on the inside and incorporate seats into the ribs or visa versa.I would use epoxy for a finish and then sand with aluminum oxide sandpaper.Then i would finish with a few coats of marine paint or at least an oil base paint.Any ideas would be appreciated, especially about the screws.

How do I register my boat? About a year and a half ago I purchased a jon-boat from walmart and I haven't registered it yet. I just haven't gotten around to it. I still have all the paperwork, title etc. from when I bought it. I would like to know exactly what I will need with me when I go to DMV to register it?
